Admissions

A straightforward path from phone call to treatment—for you or for someone you love

Getting Started

Asking for help is one of the hardest things a veteran, a first responder, or their family member will ever do. Our admissions coordinators understand that, and they are trained to make the conversation feel safe rather than clinical. From the first phone call, we answer your questions honestly, verify insurance—including Tricare and VA community care—and determine the right level of care without pressure.

We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you are the person who needs treatment or the spouse, parent, or colleague making the call on their behalf, we walk beside you from intake to arrival at our Roseville facility.

The Admissions Process

Clinical Assessment

A confidential assessment evaluates substance use history, mental health, trauma exposure, and family dynamics to determine the right level of care.

Insurance Verification

We verify coverage with your carrier—including Tricare, Medicare, and Medicaid—and explain out-of-pocket costs clearly so there are no surprises for you or your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does treatment last?

Medical detox runs 3–7 days, residential treatment lasts 30–90 days, and outpatient programs span 8–12 weeks. We know families need to plan around work schedules, childcare, and finances, so our clinical team provides a realistic timeline during the assessment and keeps your family updated on progress throughout.

Do you accept Tricare and other insurance?

Yes. We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, Medicare, United Healthcare, Tricare, WellCare, and Ambetter. For veterans using Tricare or VA community care, our admissions team handles the authorization paperwork so neither you nor your family has to navigate the system alone. Call (209) 729-8246 for a free benefits check.

Can family members visit during treatment?

Absolutely. Visitation takes place on scheduled weekends, and family therapy sessions are built into the treatment plan from the start. We believe recovery happens faster when spouses, parents, and children are part of the process—not waiting on the sidelines.

Will my loved one have phone access?

Phone use is available during limited hours each day. This structure helps patients stay connected with family while maintaining the focus their recovery requires. Our team can arrange additional calls if a family situation demands it.

Is detox medically supervised?

Yes. Physicians and nurses monitor every patient 24/7, using medication-assisted treatment when clinically appropriate. Families receive daily updates during the detox phase so they know their loved one is safe and progressing.

What support exists after discharge?

Before leaving, each patient and their family receive a comprehensive aftercare plan that may include outpatient therapy, alumni group meetings, referrals to local veteran service organizations, and family counseling resources. Our alumni network keeps graduates connected to peers who understand the road ahead.
